The fruit of acerola is considered a superfruit (just like Camu Camu) because it contains 20 to 30 times more vitamin C than orange. It is also rich in vitamins B6, B1 and A as well as flavonoids and minerals (iron, calcium, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium).
Acerola extracts are used for their tonic, stimulating and anti-infective properties. Their mineral richness provides remineralizing properties.
